WRANGLERS KICKER NESTOR “MANNY” HIGUERA EARNS IFL SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. — The Northern Arizona Wranglers kicker was selected by the Indoor Football League for their Special Teams Player of the Week.
Kicker Nestor "Manny" Higuera delivered a remarkable performance on special teams as the Wranglers secured their first win of the season.
Manny connected on one field goal, converted six PATs, and knocked down not one, not two, but THREE deuces through the uprights to ignite Wranglers Country with booming "MANNY!" chants throughout the arena. He accounted for 15 of the Wranglers' 57 points in the team's highest-scoring game of the season.
This recognition was well deserved for Manny, who has quickly become a fan favorite here in Northern Arizona.
Through the season so far, Higuera has totaled 9 deuces and is 24-for-27 on extra point attempts. Manny continues to establish himself as one of the top kickers in the Indoor Football League — and Wranglers Country will keep chanting his name every game.
