The NAZ Wranglers are thrilled to bring on Offensive Coordinator Siaha Burley, who most recently was the Assistant Head Coach of the Arizona Rattlers for two seasons. Coach Burley was the Assistant Head Coach of the Rattlers under Kevin Guy in both 2023 and 2024. Burley recently added a 2024 IFL National Championship Title as an Assistant Head Coach to his resume, among a myriad of impressive milestones. Burley’s stellar coaching career includes Two NAL Championships as a Head Coach, an NAL Coach of the Year Award, an AFL Assistant Coach of the Year Award, and numerous winning seasons. Prior to Burley getting involved with coaching in 2011, he also had a dominant career as a player. Burley was phenomenal on the field as a wide receiver, earning an AFL Offensive Player of the Year award in 2007. During this season, Burley he became the first player in United States History to rack up over 2,000 receiving yards in a single season. Burley brings a wealth of indoor football experience to the Wranglers through both his coaching and playing career. Burley has proven to be a Championship level player, play caller, and coach who will look to continue his successes with the Wranglers. As mentioned, in 2024 and 2023, Coach Burley was the Assistant Head Coach of the Arizona Rattlers under Head Coach Kevin Guy. The Rattlers won the 2024 IFL National Championship. Prior to joining the Rattlers, Burley was the head coach of the Jacksonville Sharks in 2022 while they were a part of the National Arena League (NAL.) Coach Burley was also the head coach of the Jacksonville Sharks during the 2017, 2018 and 2019 seasons. The Sharks won the NAL Championship in both 2017 and 2019 under Coach Burley’s guidance. Prior to earning the head coaching position for the Sharks organization, Burley was the offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League at the beginning of the 2017 season. In 2016, Burley was the offensive coordinator for the Arizona Rattlers, the longstanding organization in which he spent time with as a both a coach and player throughout his career. During the 2014 and 2015 seasons, Burley was the offensive coordinator for the Orlando Predators of the AFL, where he coached under current Bay Area Panthers Head Coach Rob Keefe. Coach Burley earned the 2015 AFL Assistant Coach of the Year Award as the Predators offensive coordinator. In 2013, Burley was the offensive coordinator for the Chicago Rush of the AFL, this was his first season as an offensive coordinator. 2011 was the first year that Burley stepped into coaching for the Arizona Rattlers. After a stellar career as a wide receiver for the Arizona Rattlers and many other teams in the AFL, it was a perfect fit for Burley to become the wide receiver coach for the historic franchise. Burley spent his final season as a player with the Arizona Rattlers in 2008 and had a historic season with the Utah Blaze in 2007. As a wide receiver, Burley earned the AFL Offensive Player of the Year Award with an insane record-breaking season. Burley was also named to the All-AFL First Team, as he hauled in 166 receptions for 2,129 yards and 49 touchdowns. Burley broke the single season receiving records for both receptions and yards during that 2007 tear with the Blaze. Burley had a game football sent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio for being the first wide receiver in United States history to eclipse 2,000 yards in a single season. During the 2007 season with the Blaze, Burley had this monumental season while playing under head coach Danny White and newly appointed Wranglers Head Coach Ron James. Coach James was the assistant head coach of the Blaze under White during that 2007 season. In 2006, during his first season with the Utah Blaze, Burley was named to the All-Arena Second Team for the second straight season. This was an insanely productive season that he would eventually top himself in 2007. Burley was a major problem for opposing defenses, as he continued to grow into one of the top receivers in the game. Burley notched 136 receptions for 1,934 yards and 44 touchdowns. He broke franchise numbers for the Blaze, that he would again break in 2007. Burley spent the 2004 and 2005 seasons playing wide receiver for the Arizona Rattlers, when he earned his first All-Arena Second Team selection for his performance on the field in 2005. Burley also earned the Arena Football League’s Writers Association Offensive Player of the Year during the 2005 season. During this season with the Rattlers, Burley scored a franchise record 45 touchdowns. Burley played for the LA Avengers in 2003, before beginning his playing career for the Orlando Predators during the 2001 and 2002 seasons. Burley was named to the AFL All-Rookie Team for his standout performance for the Predators in 2001. Burley also participated in training camp with various NFL teams throughout his playing career, including the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, and the Rams. Burley played for and coached for the Orlando Predators and Arizona Rattlers years apart, bringing his Indoor career full circle, and now joins the NAZ Wranglers coaching staff. Coach Burley was born and raised in the State of Arizona, and attended Westwood High School in Mesa, Ariz. Burley was an All-City and All-Statewide receiver and defensive back for the Warriors. Burley began his collegiate career as Mesa Community College before transfering to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla. Burley caught passes from eventual NFL quarterback Daunte Culpepper while at UCF and was the team’s leading receiver for each of the two seasons he played for the Knights. Coach Burley resides in Tempe, Ariz., and continues to raise his three daughters as a longtime resident of Arizona. Coach Burley’s eldest daughter currently resides in Dallas, Texas where she relocated to play college basketball at Arlington Baptist University.
Larry Hendrix
Defensive Coordinator

The NAZ Wranglers are ecstatic to bring on Defensive Coordinator Larry Hendrix, who most recently was the defensive coordinator for the Quad City Steamwheelers during the 2024 season. Coach Hendrix was also the co-defensive coordinator for the Tucson Sugar Skulls during the 2023 season. During that season, the Sugar Skulls touted the second-best scoring defense in the Indoor Football League. Hendrix brings over 15 years of head coach and defensive coordinator experience with the indoor game to the Wranglers ahead of 2025. Regarding his new role as Northern Arizona’s defensive coordinator, Hendrix stated, “I have been around the game of indoor football for a long time, and I am excited for the opportunity to build a new culture and competitive squad in Northern Arizona.” When discussing his philosophy on defense, Hendrix said, “On defense, we will be built on speed and attacking the football.” Hendrix also added to this by stating, “Wranglers fans can look at the 2023 Sugar Skulls defense as an example of the level of play to expect this year.”As mentioned, in 2024 Coach Hendrix served as the defensive coordinator for the Quad City Steamwheelers for the second time in his career. In 2024, Quad City held opposing defenses to 218.3 yards per game, which ranked sixth in the Indoor Football League. On the contrary, the Wranglers allowed 241.6 yards per game in 2024. During the 2023 season, Hendrix was the co-defensive coordinator for the Tucson Sugar Skulls. The Sugar Skulls held opponents to 41.7 points per game in 2023, which marked the second-best metric in the IFL. Hendrix was the defensive coordinator for the North Texas Bulls of the American Arena League during their 2022 season. In 2019, coach Hendrix was the defensive coordinator for the Quad City Steamwheelers. Prior to joining Quad City, Hendrix was the Head Coach and Director of Football Operations for the Dallas Marshals of the Champions Indoor Football League. Hendrix led the Dallas Marshals for three seasons, from 2015 to 2018. The Marshals organization folded during their third season, after their original owner sold the team to establish the Quad City Steamwheelers. Hendrix followed the team’s original owner after receiving the opportunity to be the defensive coordinator for Quad City in 2019, this was the organization’s first season in the IFL. During this time span from 2015 to 2019, Hendrix was also busy scouting talented players for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. Starting in 2021 through present day, Hendrix is also the Junior Varsity head coach and Varsity defensive backs coach at Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, Texas. Hendrix is a licensed counselor and teaches finance to students. Hendrix continues to mold high level student-athletes in his roles as Bishop Lynch. Prior to joining Bishop Lynch, Hendrix was the offensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Prince of Peace Christian School located in Carrollton, Texas. Hendrix was teaching and coaching at Prince of Peace from 2016 to 2021. Hendrix was the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the North Texas Crunch of the Independent Indoor Football Alliance. The IIF was a league based in the state of Texas that Hendrix helped to get started. Hendrix served as the head coach and defensive coordinator of the Crunch from 2008 to 2010, before returning to the organization again from 2012-2015. In 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2012, the Crunch won League Championships under Hendrix’s guidance. Between his time with the Crunch In 2011, Hendrix was the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator of Bricktown Brawlers of the IFL. Prior to starting the Crunch organization, Hendrix was the defensive backs coach for the Texas Regulators of the American Professional Football League. Hendrix began his indoor coaching career in 2002 with the Oklahoma Crude of the National Indoor Football League. Hendrix was the defensive coordinator for the Crude. Mr. Hendrix played one year with the Indianapolis Colts in in 1995 and for the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL in 1996. Coach Hendrix resides in Sherman, Texas and was born and raised in the area. Coach Hendrix has been married to his wife Kecia Hendrix for over 33 years. They have 3 adult children and seven grandchildren.
