The Wranglers will be hitting the road this weekend, to take on one of the top teams in the Indoor Football League's Western Conference, in the Knight Hawks. Vegas started their season on fire, with a 7-0 start. Vegas lost their last game to the Tucson Sugar Skulls by just one point in overtime. Vegas is coming off a loss, and bye week after the loss, and they'll be ready to battle to get back in the win column. The Wranglers enter this matchup with a 6-3 record, coming off their best offensive performance of the season thus far. This was a 60-53 victory over the very team to hand Vegas their only loss of the year.
 
This Western Conference battle will be an intense one, and it has major IFL playoff implications during the second half of the season.
 
The Wranglers offense has been averaging 244.8 yards per game, which ranks the third highest in the IFL. Northern Arizona's defense ranks sixth in the league when it comes to points allowed on a per game basis. The Wranglers defense has also forced the most fumbles in the league. The Wranglers will be led by starting quarterback Joshua Jones, who received the nod for the IFL's Offensive Player of the Week after throwing seven touchdown passes last week against the Sugar Skulls. Jones ranks third in the league in both passing yards and touchdowns. The Vegas Knight Hawks will be led by quarterback Ja'Rome Johnson. Johnson ranks fifth in passing touchdowns, and sixth in passing yards.
 
The Wranglers defensive unit will be up for a challenge against the Knight Hawks No. 1 ranked scoring offense. Johnson is a threat with both his arm and legs, and the Knight Hawks have some great receivers making plays downfield. Former Wranglers wide receiver, from their 2022 National Championship season, Quentin Randolph, continues to make plays for Vegas.
 
The Wranglers are 10.5-point underdogs on the road this weekend, and will need a complete performance in all three phases to get the victory. The Wranglers look to keep their offensive momentum going from last week's 60-point performance, while the defense will need to tighten up to stop the league's best scoring offense. Both teams are prepared for a hard-fought battle in Henderson.
