NORTHERN ARIZONA WRANGLERS VS DUKE CITY GLADIATORS GAME PREVIEW (4.6.24)

PRESCOTT, Ariz. — The Northern Arizona Wranglers return home to Clarion Pointe Field inside the Findlay Toyota Center for their fourth game of the season.

The Wranglers return home coming off a bye week, and two consecutive victories in the weeks prior. The Wranglers hold a 2-1 record on the 2024 Indoor Football League season. The Wranglers will be facing a Duke City Gladiators coming into Prescott Valley, Ariz. with a 0-3 record, and hungry for their first win of the season. This Western Conference showdown is presented by The Daily Courier, and the theme of the game is Local Youth Talent. The Wranglers are hosting a dance clinic for young dancers to learn from our Mustangs Dance Team! The Mini Mustangs will be performing at halftime, and the game will feature more Local Youth Talent with other halftime performers, the National Anthem Singer, and the East Valley Young Marines to present the colors.
 
Northern Arizona is just hitting their stride early in the season, and only look to improve upon their two-game win streak. The Wranglers offense has been averaging 51.3 points per game, which ranks the third highest in the IFL. The Wranglers defense has forced the most fumbles in the IFL season so far, and have recorded the third most team sacks.
 
Wranglers quarterback Josh Jones has been on fire during the last two games, throwing for 364 yards and eight touchdowns. Jones has also run for three scores in the last two outings. Wide receiver John Maldonado has scored two touchdowns in each of the last two games, and wide receiver Arsiah McCorker, (RZ), has totaled five scores. The Wranglers defense continues to step up under the leadership of defensive back Travion Banks, linebacker Shanon Reid, defensive end Tramond Lofton, and defensive end Wallace Cowins. The Wranglers defense has forced three total turnovers in the last two games.
 
The Duke City Gladiators are looking for their first win of the year, losing their first three games by a margin of nine points or less. The Gladiators have been led by quarterback Javin Kilgo, who has thrown 11 total touchdowns this season. Kilgo has also thrown two or more interceptions in all three games this season. The Gladiators are a veteran led team with a lot of Indoor Football experience and will be battling hard to get a win on the road. The Wranglers are favored by 10.5 points at home and have been underdogs in all three games prior.
