The Wranglers will have a showdown with the Sugar Skulls on Clarion Pointe Field inside the Findlay Toyota Center, in Prescott Valley, Ariz., on Saturday, March 30^th. This clash of Arizona teams will be presented by the Prescott Times. The theme of this game will coincide with Easter weekend, where the Wranglers will welcome the Easter Bunny, brought to you by Home Team Prescott. The game will also feature a high school football challenge at halftime, with the three major local high schools.
 
The Wranglers enter this weekend's battle coming off a bye week, and a hard-fought loss to the Arizona Rattlers the week prior. The Wranglers fell to an 0-1 record to start the season, however, Northern Arizona showed flashes of a potentially dominant season ahead. The Wranglers as we know, have many rookies on this year's squad, yet went toe-to-toe with a veteran led Rattlers team. The Wranglers look to continue this development against the Sugar Skulls. Wranglers wide receiver Arsiah McCorker busted on to the scene in his first Indoor Football League game. McCorker earned the IFL Special Teams Player of the Week recognition, as he ran two kickoff returns for touchdowns.
 
The Sugar Skulls will be playing their very first game of the season against the Wranglers. Tucson enters the year with an overall culture shift, and they'll be led by a new coaching regime, namely a new head coach in Billy Back. Back was the head coach of the Frisco Fighters over a major part of the last two seasons. The Sugar Skulls will look completely different than last year, from both a schematic and player personnel standpoint. The Sugar Skulls have kept their roster close to vest for as long as they have had the ability to.
 
In 2023, the Wranglers and Sugar Skulls split their two matchups, with both teams getting one win apiece. As both teams have mostly new rosters, 2024 could look much different than last season. Northern Arizona will be ready to take on a Tucson team with an entirely new look. The Wranglers will be looking to build off their last performance, despite losing in that season opener. Northern Arizona's offense made strides with both quarterback Joshua Jones and quarterback Dillon Sterling-Cole. The Wranglers defense will be aiming to force their first turnover of 2024 (not including 4^th down stops).
 
 
The Wranglers and Sugar Skulls showdown will be the only IFL game being played on Saturday night. All eyes will be on the Wranglers for the second consecutive game. The Wranglers are 2.5-point underdogs at home and are no stranger to being the underdog. Fans can expect another exciting and hard-fought slug fest between the Wranglers and Sugar Skulls on Saturday night.
