The Wranglers began this game on Clarion Pointe Field inside the Findlay Toyota Center on offense, led by quarterback
Joshua Jones. The Wranglers jumped out to an early lead on the game's opening drive when Jones spun out of a defender's tackle in the backfield and powered in for the four-yard score. The Wranglers defense looked tough early, forcing the Rattlers to turn the ball over on downs on the ensuing possession. The Wranglers had a 6-0 lead, and the momentum was on their side early. The Rattlers got a sack of Jones in the end zone for a safety, bringing the game's score to 6-2 in favor of the Wranglers.
Â
The game's opening quarter was jam-packed with exciting plays. After the Rattlers regained possession of the ball due to the safety, they scored a touchdown to take their first lead of the game. Arsiah McCorker (RZ) took the return 55 yards for the score. RZ electrified the Findlay Toyota Center to close the first quarter with the Wranglers in front of the Rattlers, by a score of 13-9.
Â
The second quarter opened with the Wranglers defense surrendering two touchdowns to Rattlers, with a Wranglers offensive turnover in between the opposing scores. The Rattlers seemingly jumped to out to a ten-point lead in a blink of an eye. RZ McCorker helped narrow this gap with, yet another kickoff returns for a touchdown. McCorker's second score was a 58-yard return, and the Wranglers crowd was once again ignited with momentum. The Wranglers were trailing the Rattlers by three points, down by a score of 23-20. The following four possessions saw the Rattlers trading their two touchdowns for two Wranglers field goals. The Wranglers field goals were nailed by kicker

Â
The third quarter opened as Wranglers kicker Perez nailed a deuce on the kickoff. The Rattlers were first up on offense after the deuce, and Sneed was replaced by former Wranglers quarterback Garrett Kettle. Kettle led the Rattlers down the field for the touchdown, the Wranglers now fell behind by a score of 44-28. The third quarter ended with that being the score after the Wranglers offense turned the ball over on downs and the Rattlers missed a field goal. Wranglers quarterback
Dillon Sterling-Cole replaced Jones during the third quarter.
Â
Sterling-Cole and the Wranglers offense had possession of the ball going into the final quarter. Sterling-Cole connected with McCorker for a 28-yard touchdown pass, bringing McCorker's touchdown total on the day to three. The Wranglers trailed by ten points, with the game score at 44-34, in favor of the Rattlers. On the following possession, the Wranglers defense came up with a huge stop on fourth and goal from the one-yard line. This stop gave the Wranglers a spark to bring the game even closer in the fourth. Despite the stop, the Rattlers forced the Wranglers to turn the ball over on downs as well, the Rattlers capitalized off this stop with another touchdown. Wranglers running back Jarrod Ware Jr. ran for an 8-yard score during the game's final minutes, and Perez kicked a beautiful onside kick that was successfully recovered by Wranglers wide receiver
John Maldonado. The Wranglers trailed by 11 points, with a shot inside one minute to go. On the second play of the Wranglers drive the Rattlers nabbed an interception, closing the Wranglers hopes of the fourth quarter comeback. The Rattlers ran the clock down, and the game ended with a score of 51-40, in favor of the Rattlers.
