On Sunday afternoon, the Northern Arizona Wranglers will face off against the Vegas Knight Hawks, at The Dollar Loan Center, in Henderson, Nev. The Wranglers are on the road for the third consecutive week, and are aiming to earn their second straight victory. This will be the third meeting of the season between these two teams. In their previous matchup, in Week 6, the Wranglers pulled off a hard-fought win, defeating the Knight Hawks by a score of 30-20, at Pinnacle Bank Field at The Findlay Toyota Center.
 
The Wranglers are coming off a dominant 31-point victory on the road, 65-34, against the Bay Area Panthers. Northern Arizona set a franchise record with their output against Bay Area. The Knight Hawks are returning home to The Dollar Loan Center, coming off their biggest win of the season. Last Sunday, the Knight Hawks took down the defending United Bowl champions, the Massachusetts Pirates, by a score of 46-44. Both Wranglers quarterback Kaleb Barker and Knight Hawks quarterback Jerod Evans threw for over 200 passing yards last week, and will be firing downfield in this matchup. Evans led the Knight Hawks to victory during his first game with the team, and also received the IFL's Offensive Player of the Week recognition.
 
The Wranglers are entering this showdown with a 4-2 record this season. After last week's performance, the Wranglers have joined the Arizona Rattlers as the only two teams in the IFL that rank top five in both scoring offense and defense. The Knight Hawks come into the game with a 3-4 record, but it looks like they've got a much-improved offensive attack, under Evans, in his first start of the season. The Wranglers will have to come into the game prepared on both sides of the ball to return home with their second win in a row. This game will loom large in the Western Conference playoff picture.
